Abstract:
Die 2-jährige Studie umfasst die Verlaufsbeobachtung der klinischen Schmerzsymptomatik und radiologischen Beweglichkeit von Patienten, die eine PCM®-Prothese erhielten. Die klinischen Ergebnisse waren postoperativ sehr gut und blieben im Verlauf stabil gut. Patienten mit bisegmentalem Bandscheibenersatz erlitten signifikant häufiger eine Dislokation der Prothese. Das gewünschte Ziel des Erhalts der segmentalen Beweglichkeit durch endoprothetischen Ersatz wurde bei 75% der Patienten erfüllt.

The two-year follow-up study covers the clinical and radiological outcome after implantation of a PCM® cervical disc. The postoperative clinical pain symptoms of the examined patients were good and remained stable. It was found that patients with a two-level disc replacement had a significant higher chance of a dislocation of the prosthesis. The desired result of maintaining the segmental mobility by artificial disc replacement was achieved in 75% of the patients.
