Two main challenges arise in the evaluation of the impact of novel air transport concepts on their operational environment: The worldwide diversity in environment conditions as well as the highly uncertain future development of these. Demonstrated by the example of runway capacity impact evaluation, the systematic approach of this thesis helps to derive a limited number of representative current and future airport traffic environments. These enable the estimation of an impact range on a global level.
