- Abstract:
- Als Therapie für die feuchte Form der altersabhängigen Makuladegeneration stehen in erster Linie VEGF-Inhibitoren wie Ranibizumab zur Verfügung. Ziel der Arbeit war es, die Frage zu klären, ob der Macular Mapping Test geeignet ist, Veränderungen der Sehleistung nach Ranibizumab-Injektion zu entdecken. Hierzu wurde er mit den gebräuchlichen Tests wie Visus-Bestimmung, Pelli-Robson-Tafel und optischer Kohärenztomografie verglichen.

- Intra-vitreal injections of VEGF-inhibitors like ranibizumab have been shown to be effective in stabilizing an improving vision in exudative AMD. The aim of this study was to find out whether the macular mapping test is suitable to detect vision alterations after ranibizumab injection. For this purpose, the Macular Mapping Test was compared to the conventional tests such as visual acuity, Pelli-Robson chart and optical coherence tomography.
