In der vorliegenden Dissertation wird durch Auswertung der Literatur überprüft, welches therapeutische Vorgehen bei einer Vergiftung mit Zyaniden in Abhängigkeit von Vergiftungsmechanismus und Vergiftungsschwere empfehlenswert ist. Nach Sammlung zahlreicher Fallberichte zu den verschiedenen Expositionspfaden und Therapiemöglichkeiten der Zyanidvergiftung wurden diese kurz zusammengefasst vorgestellt und bezüglich des Vergiftungsverlaufs und -ausgangs miteinander verglichen. Bei akuten Vergiftungen sind die Methämoglobinbildner das Mittel der Wahl. Hydroxocobalamin eignet sich für die Rauchgasvergiftung sowie protrahiert verlaufende Intoxikationen.      «

By studying the literature this doctoral thesis reassesses, which therapeutic action is recommendable in the case of poisoning by cyanide depending on the way of intoxication as well as its severity. After collecting multiple case-reports on the different intoxication-pathways and the treatment-possibilities of (acute) cyanide poisoning they are presented summarized and are compared with each other regarding the course and outcome of the intoxication. In acute cyanide poisoning methemoglobin-forming agents seem to be the first choice. Hydroxocobalamin is recommended in combined cyanide/ carbon-monoxide poisoning as well as in intoxications with delayed onset.      «
