- Abstract:
- In der Arbeit wird für Unternehmen, die ihre F&E internationalisieren, ein praxisorientiertes sowie betriebswirtschaftliches Instrumentarium entwickelt, welches sie bei der Standortbewertung unterstützt. Dieses Werkzeug orientiert sich am operativen Standortselektionsprozess. Es umfasst die Festlegung der strategischen Rolle der F&E-Einheit. Zudem werden Kriterien, Kennzahlen, Indikatoren sowie Methoden für das F&E-Standortbewertungsmodell bestimmt. Der geographische Fokus der Arbeit sind Länder mit den Eigenschaften von Emerging Economies. Dabei wird analysiert, welche spezifischen Rahmenbedingungen diese Ländergruppe für die Ansiedlung eines F&E-Standortes aufweist. Zudem werden Handlungsempfehlungen entwickelt, wie Unternehmen die Leistungsfähigkeit eines F&E-Standortes in Emerging Economies vollumfänglich evaluieren können.
- Translated abstract:
- The thesis develops an evaluation model for companies that wish to internationalize their r&d capacities. It helps enterprises to assess and compare the performance of the alternative locations. The model is based on the structure of the operative business site evaluation process. It contains the decision on the strategic function of the foreign r&d unit. In addition evaluation criteria, performance indicators and methods of the evaluation model will be defined. The geographical emphasis are countries with characteristics of emerging economies. The thesis analyzes the specific competitive environment of emerging economies for foreign r&d investment. In addition recommendations are developed how companies can evaluate the performance of a potential business site for their foreign r&d unit that is located in emerging economies.
